Now the babies have flown the nest, you can look at options. If life presents the opportunities to travel, I would highly reccomend or at least, explore RV travel. Unfortenately for us, as the worm turns, we are not able to go RVing like we used to. But I loved it and still love it. It fits right in with my personality of explorer. You are not always on the main trail. I enjoyed meeting other boomer RVers. As a whole they are a relaxed welcoming group. Most are ready to assist a newbie or show you the ropes of RVing. There are lots of RV groups, most centered around the make of RV, or other commonalites to belong to.
I am sitting here thinking of our brief boondock (no fee parking)stay in Merriwether Lewis Park, while traveling the Natchez Trace Trail, for a couple of days. We met a really nice lady and her daughter. We all went hiking together. I certainly will NEVER forget at night as we sat outside the lightening bugs were so thick in the woods, it looked like looking down on New York City at night. Nature put on quiet a show.
Ah, memories, pressed between the pages of my mind. http://boomersberg.com
